No, I was sick during the Orsem and absolutely didn't enjoy the heat and the walking that we had to do. I missed the 2nd and 3rd of the Orsem and I was absent the first day of classes. I only went to school on the 3rd day.

I never went to the infirmary to rest or what. I just went there medical exam requirements for immersion/labor trials and to get some biogesic. I also went there to treat burns in my arm when it was accidentally poured with scalding hot lugaw.

Of course, may different levels pa yan. Pero may isang Alpha Crush, yung crush ko talaga since first year college.

1. Suplado = walang mangyayari sa ganyan. kung suplado ang initial reaction ko nyan eh isnabin din, kebs.
2. Mr. Shades = wear it only when needed, kasi kung kahit walang araw at naka-shades pa rin parang ang pa-cool na ng dating, lalo na kung di ka naman celebrity.
3. Masculado = yeah, just not too muscular please, na parang bodybuilder na ang dating. yucky na yun.. tsaka diba pag masyado malaki kunwari yung shoulders at arms, parang ang liit nalang ng ulo.. diba ang chaka tingnan nun? parang di na proportioned..

A big CONGRATULATIONS to ASEC's futsal team, Team World Cup, (Kapal noh? Haha! I actually thought of the name) for winning the IAC Futsal Championship! I wasn't really expecting for us to win it, since the one we were up against beat us twice during the eliminations. They were the defending champs, they were obviously more organized and even have their own jerseys. All I wanted was a good game and for our boys to give their best shot para decent loss naman if ever. But you know, watching them play, they sort of had this killer instinct with them. They would really dive and die for the ball. Kesehoda ng matalisod, madapa, gumulong, sumipa (!) gamit ang mukha o kung ano pa. They WERE determined as hell, the Japanese boys (I tagged them as our "futsal superstars", one of them became the MVP of this season, getting the Golden Boot award, with 17 goals) promised one of our orgmates beforehand that they were sure to win it. I was scared since I was pessimistic, God knows what those two will do if we lose. Sabi ko nga, baka mag-harakiri yung mga yun bigla because of the shame and dishonor that comes with losing. Lagot na. LOL.
But we WON! The game was so exciting and it happened like this:

Opponent scored a goal, Opponent-2, ASEC-1. At this time I was kinda psyching myself that the we'd get second. But I was still hoping against hope that there would be that miracle shot.

Pucha, I was really like OMG, it was TIED again! The court was so quiet and I put my hands over my ears because of sheer anxiousness.

Then it was what's-his-face's turn.
He opted for a rolling ball kind of kick.
Unfortunately (for them at least), his shot was blocked.

In hindsight, our team really was good. Excuse me, pwede na kong mag-gloat, nanalo eh. LOL. We had tall players and I mean really tall players and we used that height advantage for DEFENSIVE purposes. Not that we don't have the OFFENSIVE advantage, coz we do too, with the Japs as strikers. But the other team was really the team to beat with regard to OFFENSIVE, if you saw how fast they run and how organized they were. Grabe. So the secret really was to prevent them from scoring and yesterday was the most DEFENSIVE I've seen our team. YEAH! I'M ON A HIGH! :)
Well here's hoping for another great batch of football playing foreign students next year to defend the crown.

| Wowowee sinong di mawiwili? |

Apparently none of us.. Hahaha!
Last Saturday I joined some ASEC peeps and foreign students to watch Wowowee. Pagbigyan, medyo mas mahirap kasing kumbinsihin ang mga Pinoy members kesa sa mga foreign students na pumunta. Alam nyo naman ako game sa mga ganyan.. So we were there as early as 10am. We were let in at about quarter to 12. We were assigned to the TFC section and the foreign students were given banners of where they came from. We told them that it was probable that they were gonna be approached since they came from countries other than US or Canada. We scared them that they may be even invited infront and be asked to dance. LOL. Of course we only did that because we were scared of being seen as well.
But as the show started, we just let our hair down. We didn't care anymore if we would be seen. They made us wore this silly shirt to promote Willie's new single "I-Yugyog Mo" and even taught us how to dance it. We danced along every beat, sang every song, clapped when we were asked to and really enjoyed, as much as some of us hate to admit it. True enough, lots of friends and family members texted that they saw us several times and even caught us dancing. LOL. Of course the boys enjoyed it more than we did because of the pretty hosts and all the dance numbers of scantily clad ASF dancers. Hay, if only we got to go last week, Sam Milby and Piolo Pascual apparently were there.. We were there for three hours and even if some of us lacked sleep and were darn hungry (the show ended at 3pm), we still had enough energy to sustain us.

I wanna end this entry by imitating what I got from this girl's blog post which is called Highpoint habit which has you share your high point for the day. As she said, "it forces you to realize that no day can be so bad as to have no high point." Imma try doing this everyday, except for days when I REALLY have to rant about things. I just want to find some things to be happy about even if there are times when being unemployed makes you feel useless.. This is just so I can still continue being thankful..
So I'm gonna start with what happened this weekend.
Highpoints for the weekend:
Saturday- I watched Wowowee and had fun! Had fun bonding with people with me as well especially Belgian Lotte, she's so talkative, kalog and fun! It has actually been a while since I danced crazily and made a fool out of myself (while having fun at the same time) so it was really a sort of high for me.
Sunday- Eating Spicy Noodle Soup at Chowking with my family after mass and hoping to see a glimpse of a meteor shower. :)

Thanks to Enuj for deciding to have me keep her company to watch the game. I mean between the two of us, she's much more into the school spirit thing than I am. I only watched one game before this and that was during my freshman year, Ateneo/La Salle game din, free ticket pa.. Hahaha! Kuring talaga ako, I know. So when Enuj bribed me with a free ticket and a free dinner after, who can resist right? Haha! It was well worth it since we won. Victory's always sweeter if it's against La Salle, and I say that as a compliment ah. Even if UE seems to be stronger as a team this season, iba pa rin talaga pag La Salle ang kalaban.. Iba ang adrenaline rush nung game kanina and it will keep me rejuvenated for this week. It has been a blah week so far, no job interviews to attend to just yet.. So thanks for winning Blue Eagles, maybe this week isn't so blah after all.
Tsaka crush ko si Jai Reyes. He's such an adorable kid. Hehehe!

OK so my Saturday was so filled with activities. First, I had to go to Subic with ASEC peeps. We only arrived at Katipunan at about 10pm. Grabe kasi yung ulan. So there I was really hurrying so that I'll catch PBB in time. Talagang takbo puntang Berkley Square to meet Pola, then we went to her house to watch.
Grabe if you have seen me super jologs, talagang namumutla ako sa nerbyos. LOL. It didn't help that Gee Ann got the 4th spot! Wendy naman, who's undeniably the most hated, managed to get in 3rd! The boos were pretty satisfying but wow, the audience was really unforgiving.. Then the most anticlimactic ending since AI6 finale happened, Bea won, then my Mickey came in 2nd. :( Bea was nice overall, but as far as impact goes, my Mickey or even Wendymonya lead her by miles..
Here was to hoping for a male winner and for my Mickey to win. :( Imma bitter one. Hmmpphh!!!

Enuj and I enroled in UP's extramural classes on foreign languages. I chose the last level they were offering (French 5) since I really just needed to review the last part on Forum 1 before I enrol for Forum 2 (hopefully in Alliance). I want to have a good grasp of the basic stuff first before I take on a whole new different topic. In short, kailangan namin ng closure ng Forum 1 so I can move on. Grabe I'm really getting rusty! Must be because I've stopped taking classes since October!
Luckily though, my teacher this time was the same one I got last year. He's the one I take responsible for improving my French accent, so much so that my French friends consider it good. It kind of deceives them to think that I can speak THAT well, but noooooo.. BOO!! Anyway, last year he said he was migrating to the US for good since his petition was granted, but then he came back! Imagine my surprise seeing him in the classroom! Passion nya talaga magturo ng French.. Amazing!
He told us about not being discouraged about learning more about the language. From what he observed, students who learn foreign languages only get to be conversational only after 300 hours of studying the language in the classroom. Learning the foreign language in its country of origin is a totally different story. For Euro languages students daw, they only become conversational in their 3rd year, after 14 subjects or 42 units of French taken.
Naku. It's gonna be a looooooooong road ahead.
